About me
Hi, I'm Ruoxin. You can call me Xin (pronounced "Sheen").
I enjoy working on complex, constraint-heavy problems, where business goals, system logic, and real-world limitations shape the design. I don't see design as a layer added at the end, but as a way to make complex systems understandable and usable.
My Design Path
My Story
I studied Industrial Design during my undergraduate years, and later moved into UX/UI design as I became more interested in digital products.
My first role was at Meituan, where I worked on a B2B product. That experience taught me to think beyond screens: considering edge cases, system logic, and feasibility as part of design work. I found the process challenging, but also enjoyable, like solving a puzzle.
After completing my master's degree at UCL, I joined Smaller Earth Group. I'm currently the only designer in a small team, working end-to-end on our CRM system. I also build and launch websites using Webflow, from early sketches to live products. The role comes with constraints, but also space to step outside a traditional UX/UI scope and focus on what's practically useful.
